All of us at Kordz, Inc. were so thrilled to have the opportunity to attend the 30th annual Live Design International event, the leading conference and trade show for live design professionals from all over the world! We want to give a sincere “thank you” to everyone who came out to the event and talked to us, whether it was at our booth or elsewhere at the convention. Every time we go to one of these events we meet so many wonderful people and make great personal and business connections, and this year’s event was certainly no exception.
If you weren’t able to make it to the LDI trade show, here’s a little bit of an overview of what you missed. Don’t miss out next year!
About Live Design International (LDI)
Each year, LDI hosts more than 14,000 members of the live event production profession and community. These people come from a wide variety of venues and backgrounds, including festivals, theaters, concerts, corporate events, theme parks, houses of worship and many more. While their backgrounds may differ, they all have the opportunity to learn from some skilled professionals in the industry.
This year there were around 400 exhibitors at the event, including Kordz, Inc., as well as more than 14,000 attendees. The event featured more than 100 training sessions, giving attendees some practical training and experience to take with them when they left the event.
There is a whole lot to see, do and experience at these LDI events. Perhaps the most exciting opportunity is the ability to see and demo brand new event gear, while also getting some of the cutting-edge training you need to get the most out of the equipment you choose to invest in or have already purchased.
This year’s event ran from Friday, October 19 to Sunday, October 21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. Attendees came from all over the world to check out the exhibits, learn more about running a successful event (with the latest technology) and connect with some of the biggest names in the industry.
There were a number of events throughout the weekend after the ribbon cutting ceremony, including a booth crawl and scavenger hunt, a 30th anniversary celebration concert and party, a reception specifically for Spanish-speaking attendees, several keynote speeches and, of course, the ever popular LDI After Dark, in which Las Vegas’s dance floors opened up to attendees of the conference each evening at different clubs around the city. Attendees got free admission simply by showing their LDI badge!
All in all, it was a great time. We love going to these trade shows, telling people more about truss in Los Angeles, CA and getting a chance to see some of the friends we make at these events throughout the year.
Another big thank you to those of you who came and stopped by our booth. We’re already looking forward to the next LDI event, and we hope those of you who missed it this year are able to get out in 2019!
